Within the first five minutes, I knew what will be the story of this drama and I was like: so dated. The episode was a good first episode-enough exposition, enough masala to keep us hooked. The two talk in Urdu thinking that Kim doesn’t know Urdu (so typical), and the episode ends as Kim speaks her first Urdu sentence (so typical). We see a melodramatic scene between Naveed and Abba Ji as Naveed apologizes for his deeds Kim overhears the conversation. Iqbal doesn’t want to meet Naveed, so she remains in her room.ĭaani tries to impress Kim, while Suraiya asks her brother to keep his emotions in check. The father-daughter duo gets a cold/luke-warm welcome at home. Dawood doesn’t like this western-outfit donning girl, either (so typical). Judging by the appearance, Kim thinks Dawood is a terrorist (so typical). We see the “bhai jaan” doing ablution and then offering namaz. Daani suggests that “bhai jaan” should do it. Then, we see Basharat asking Daani to pick up the guests from the airport. Iqbal recalls how the broken engagement led to her own divorce-her husband left her because he blamed Khursheed for her fate that Naveed called off the engagement.Raziya Begum is unhappy as she recalls what happened to Khursheed when the engagement was called off.Basharat isn’t too thrilled but doesn’t question his had.The news only opens a gate to the past that was shut tightly until now. It’s the same guy who called off the engagement with Basharat’s sister Khursheed.
